What we do

Water scarcity is a shared challenge across the Mediterranean region, requiring joint efforts and coordinated strategies to develop sustainable and innovative solutions. The SHARE.MedWATER project leverages transnational cooperation to strengthen an innovative and sustainable economy by addressing water scarcity through innovative joint strategies.

Our Approach

SHARE.MedWATER step-by-step approach rely on:

1. Study & (Partnership) Knowledge Transfer (WP1), collecting data and best practices and engaging stakeholders.
2. Pilot Testing (WP2), implementing 7 community-level pilots and 2 district-level applications in 7 Med Counties.
3. Scaling & Transfer (WP3) making use of DSS tools to assess scalability and guide decision-making and a capacity building programme.

The project delivers scalable, transferable water reuse models that reduce dependence on freshwater, strengthen climate resilience, and support EU and regional water strategies. Its integrated community-district approach ensures a lasting impact, paving the way for future policy adaptation and large-scale implementation across the Mediterranean.
